The Flying Skiff is designed to be fast but stable, compact but roomy. The self bailing cockpit is great for adventure sailing along coastal waters and bays. The sail comes with 2 reef points. The outriggers can fold forward for easy docking and traveling through narrow channels with moderate wind conditions. When the wind picks up, deploy the hydroplaning discs. The discs create as much lift as the righting moment of adding another crew member out to windward on a trapeze line but without the added weight. A rowing station can be added. For adventure cruising or racing, you can easily sleep on the flat floor. If you remove the mast, you could possibly sleep 2 people on the floor.
